If we are being honest, I found production or "creation" by mistake. I was an actor. The phone wasn’t ringing enough for my liking so I co-founded a theatre company to create my own acting work. It didn’t take long to realize that by producing from offstage I could impact every single aspect of what was happening onstage far more than any singular character could. I wasn’t responsible for creating a moment or a scene: I was responsible for creating all of them. I was - and still am - hooked.

I’ve learned that I relish the opportunity to flex not only my creative muscles but all the other tools I’ve been gifted or have developed along the way. What I know now is that my brain, business mind, entrepreneurial spirit, administrative know-how, critical thinking and problem-solving are skills that have made me more valuable to the creative process than my artistic skills ever could have on their own.
